Fund development coordinator / Bénévolat-Volunteer work

Reporting to the Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Fund Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the fundraising activities of the society that may include: grant writing, sponsorship, and the solicitation of pertinent in-kind resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Providing recommendations to the Treasurer on achieving the society’s fundraising revenue targets
• Assisting the Treasurer with the Canadian Pride Historical Society (CPHS)’s fund development plan and ensuring timelines for fundraising activities and revenue generation are being met
• Developing sponsorship proposals and grant applications and ensuring all deadlines are met
• Actively searching for grant opportunities and liaising with the Treasurer to ensure applications are aligned with the business needs of the society
• Engaging with sponsor prospects
• Executing any special fundraising events
• Managing the CPHS’s donor database
• Keeping detailed records on all fund development activities

Qualifications:

• Previous working experience in a marketing and/or communication environment
• Previous direct fundraising experience
• Knowledge and experience in most types of fundraising initiatives including sponsorship and granting writing an asset
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management and organization skills
